Turning Eastbourne into a town of walkers

Encouraging more people to walk more frequently, and further, when moving about town will reduce car dependency, reduce carbon emissions, and increase people's health. (Photo by Krzysztof Kowalik on Unsplash)

Points

The Eastbourne Pilgrimage Project has been set up to help encourage walking to local places of cultural and spiritual heritage: https://www.facebook.com/Eastbourne-Pilgrimage-Project-106121971288218

The Eastbourne Walking Festival in September will be an ideal oppoprtunity to promote walking and make it a much more attractive way of moving across the town.

The use of digital apps like BetterPoints (https://www.betterpoints.ltd/) to encourage walking through economic incentives could be promoted, especially during the Eastbourne Walking Festival.
